How we organized the task on human rights and gender

We started by exchanging ideas on the topic trying to find a way to address the task “Which aspects of ‘Human Rights’ can be discussed upon ‘Billy Elliot’?” Thus, we created a Drive document so that each member of the group could write about it.

The first one to do it pasted the links of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention On The Rights of The Child so that everyone could have them at hand to consult. Secondly, this peer wrote an introduction referring to some historical background as well as the prejudices and stereotypes seen in the story represented in the film. This was to give rise to others to develop their contributions to respond to the question posed by the task.

After that, the other members of the group wrote theirs whenever they could, referring to the different articles of the first document and its relation to the topic. At the same time, we all discussed every new element that was written to check its coherence and accuracy.

Finally, one took the responsibility to write the conclusion which was revised and checked later by the whole group through our WhatsApp connection.
