How working within our group has been

Being part of The Nameless Group has been an enriching experience for all of us, though it demands a lot of debate and hard working. We work in a real democratic way, as we do not take any unilateral decision, and we divide every task into eight parts, each one of them requiring the same effort. As a means of communication, we use WhatsApp, and for working, we generally employ a Drive document.

Our first task together -the one we had to perform at our first encounter - has been the hardest since it took us several days to come to an agreement on the topic to develop. There were times when we felt like we were in a dead end as the days passed, and we had not reached an agreement. But finally, we did! and thenceforth the work organization flowed with more ease. Though, it resulted not so good as we had thought, however, this first task helped us to consolidate as a group by working collaboratively.

After that, though we usually devote a long time for debating about how we are going to develop every new task, we do it in a fruitful way, enjoying it and even giving a space for humour in between. Thus, our production has considerably improved as well as our group work abilities. Besides, each member is being able to develop their strengths using them for the benefit of the whole group. Thus, they have been defining the different roles that each of us has assumed spontaneously. Paraphrasing Belbin test, our roles so far are the creative, the coordinator, the resource investigator, the team worker, the monitor, the specialist, the implementer, the completer-finisher.

Consequently, though we still have weaknesses to overcome, such as shortening the initial discussion so that we have more time for the development of the task, we have gained a better understanding among each other, and a better production.
